The RPO Post: Voice of the RPO Industry

Top Ten RPO News Stories of 2014

In 2014, the Recruitment Process Outsourcing Association celebrated 10 years of the RPO industry by hosting a webinar, titled Recruitment Process Outsourcing a Decade Later, that highlighted the industry's evolution from infancy, to where it is right now 10 years later, and what we expect will be the future of RPO. We've also been busy working on our mission of "educating the market about RPO" by producing more education webinars and writing more content for our blog, the RPO Post. In case you missed them, here is a compilation of the 2014 top ten RPO news from our RPO Post.

Social Recruiting, Diversity Challenges and More RPO News

By Allison Reilly Tue, Aug 26,2014 @ AM

According to the 2014 Global Leadership Forecast, the number one leadership challenge for CEOs is human capital, followed by customer relations and innovation. To overcome the challenge of leadership and human capital, improving the effectiveness of management and improving leadership development program were cited as the top two strategies. This week's hiring and recruiting news roundup should help with both of those strategies, where development is possible and where management is currently ineffective. Both of these strategies may not necessarily require new staff and may instead simply need new ways to evaluate and to enhance each of your staff members individually.

By Allison Reilly Thu, Jul 17,2014 @ AM

This week's hiring and recruiting news roundup addresses today's recruiting challenge in a new light, focusing on the skills needed and the lessons learned from resisting the ongoing change in the recruiting landscape.

By Allison Reilly Fri, May 30,2014 @ PM

Companies with engaged employees outperform those without engaged employees by more than 200 percent! The three biggest reasons why employees aren't engaged include a lack of belief in senior leadership, a lack of pride in their employer and a dissatisfaction with their direct manager. Improving employee engagement will require improving the relationship between employees and their direct supervisors as well as the relationship between employees and their employer.
