In honor of Women's History Month in March, the Recruitment Process Outsourcing Association (RPOA) is celebrating rising and influential women in recruitment process outsourcing (RPO).

“I had the pleasure of working with many wonderful women in RPO over the past ten years,” said Lamees Abourahma, Executive Director of the RPOA. “The Woman in RPO award is a hearty gesture to shine the light on these deserving women for the contributions they make for their organization, their team, and for their clients.”

Last year, 28 women in the RPO industry were recognized by their peers for their contribution and the impact they make every day. Social media announcements by the RPOA generated over 26,918 impressions that were magnified by shares from others on LinkedIn. Check out #WIRPO to view some of the buzz produced on LinkedIn.

“What an honor! The Women in RPO Award made such an impact on those recognized,” said Alexis Phillips, a 2021 Rising Woman in RPO Award Recipient. “It was truly special to be nominated amongst some of the top women in the industry!”

While many other organizations present awards for women in different disciplines and functions, recruitment process outsourcing is a unique talent acquisition solution that deserves special attention. The Recruitment Process Outsourcing Association (RPOA) is the only organization that focuses on RPO as a unique discipline within the talent acquisition function.

Erin Peterson, PeopleResults Partner, and Global RPO Consultant commented on the significance of this recognition. “I was humbled and honored to be named last year among the accomplished women receiving this award,” Peterson said. “The RPO career path is not for the faint of heart.  This award speaks to the strength of character and grit it takes to be a woman in leadership, especially in this great industry.”
